EU e-invoicing with Odoo: ready for every country you sell in
Across Europe, PDF invoices sent by email are being replaced by mandatory structured e-invoices. The rules start on different dates in each country and keep changing until 2030. We set up Odoo so your invoices meet the rules, and keep it compliant on a fixed monthly plan.
Where the rules stand in October 2026
| Country | Domestic B2B e-invoicing |
|---|---|
| Belgium | Mandatory since 1 January 2026 via Peppol. Fines since 1 April 2026. |
| Poland | KSeF mandatory in 2026 (large taxpayers from February, others from April). |
| Croatia | Mandatory from 2026, with e-reporting. |
| France | From 1 September 2026 all businesses must receive e-invoices; large and mid-sized companies issue them. Smaller companies issue from September 2027. |
| Germany | All businesses must receive e-invoices since 2025. Issuing becomes mandatory in 2027 (turnover above €800,000) and 2028 (everyone). |
| Slovakia | Planned from 1 January 2027. |
| Spain | B2B mandate approved in 2026, phased in over the following years. Separate Verifactu invoicing-software rules from 2027. |
| All EU countries | From 1 July 2030 (ViDA): structured e-invoices and real-time reporting for all B2B sales between EU countries. |

What we do
1. Check
We list the countries you invoice in, the rules and deadlines that apply to you, and what your current system cannot do.
2. Set up
We configure Odoo accounting for structured e-invoices: Peppol registration, the right formats (such as Peppol BIS 3, XRechnung, Factur-X or UBL), customer identifiers and VAT codes.
3. Keep compliant
On a monthly plan we track rule changes, update and test your set-up, and fix rejected invoices before they turn into fines or late payments.
Why a monthly plan, not a one-off project
- The rules move every year until 2030, in every country you sell to.
- Odoo releases a new version every year. Updates must be tested before they touch your invoices.
- A rejected invoice is an unpaid invoice. Someone needs to watch and fix them fast.
- One fixed monthly fee, a named consultant who knows your business, and no hourly surprises.
Questions
Is e-invoicing mandatory in my country?
It depends on the country and on your company size. Belgium, Poland and Croatia already require it for domestic B2B invoices, France started in September 2026, and Germany, Slovakia and Spain follow in 2027 and 2028. From July 2030 it also applies to all B2B invoices between EU countries.
Is a PDF sent by email an e-invoice?
No. A legal e-invoice is a structured file (for example Peppol BIS Billing 3.0, XRechnung or Factur-X) that the buyer’s system can read automatically. A PDF on its own no longer meets the rules where e-invoicing is mandatory.
Can Odoo send and receive e-invoices?
Yes. Odoo’s accounting app supports structured e-invoice formats and Peppol. Where a country uses its own government platform, we connect Odoo to that platform or to an accredited provider.
Why do I need a monthly plan for this?
The rules keep changing country by country until 2030 and beyond. On a monthly plan we follow those changes, update your Odoo set-up, test it and make sure your invoices keep flowing.
